Cocktails and Fabrics - Oh My!!

Good Morning Imagists!

This is the Other Half of BMGImage updating you with the following:

Seeing how everything is better with a cocktail, we'll start with the fabulous recipe my amazingly talented husband alluded to in his previous post. (if I can't brag about him, then who can?) My equally fabulous mother-in-law developed this wonderfully festive cocktail last week while we were relaxing in Tahoe.

The Cranberry Crusher

8 oz. Cranberry Juice
3 Tbs Cranberry Relish (your favorite recipe)
1 Tsp Raw Sugar
4 oz. Vodka

Put all ingredients in blender with ice and blend until frothy. Pour blended coctail in tumblers and add a dash of champagne or sparkling water. Serve immediately and ENJOY!

Now, on to the fabric. Fabrics you say? Just wait....

A few months ago, I was looking through our Abstract Imagery Gallery, and I was suddenly struck by our LabaDee BrickWalk Print and what a fabulous fabric it would make for a summer dress. So, I struck out on an internet quest to find a company that would allow me to upload our print and have it made into a custom fabric. After being met with one applique site after another, I was starting to get discouraged, until I stumbled across Spoonflower....

Spoonflower was a brand new site, still in Beta in fact, offering refuge to budding textile designers. After applying, and being waitlisted for about 2 months, we were finally invited to join in the fabric making fun. Apparently, I was not alone in my plight, because there are now over 10,000 registered Spoonflower members, and they are now accepting open enrollment. The site is still in Beta mode, so you are unable to purchase other members' fabric designs at this time. Take a few minutes to browse the site, and don't forget to check out our 10 new fabric designs based on our Abstract Designs and Paintings. The website address is www.spoonflower.com. The site is not exactly the most searchable or browsable yet, but we assume that will change as it becomes more advanced.

Until next time Image Lovers,

Love All, Live Well, and Look at all the Beauty Around You,
Kathryn Gardenhire
