Brand new work always seem to infuse a bounty of enthusiasm for both buyer, collector, viewer and artist a like. I assume because it points to a new direction in a number of ways. Is it the start of a new collection?; perhaps the artist is going in a different direction?; a brand new throng of opinions, criticism and comments will be abound as well. Concerning these new eruptions if you will, I really don't yet know where they came from except perhaps from my wife's yearning for me to do more intensely expressive work.

The last piece I have dedicated to a fond friend of mine who passed on this month. He was equal parts teacher, friend and mentor. A great scholarly mind of the theater that will be missed each and every time a great film or any great breath of Shakespeare is taken in by the people he influenced.
Dr. James Lundstrom of Columbia College Hollywood and abroad, you will be missed and mourned but more than anything, you will be greatly remembered. Thank you for all of your knowledge and care.

Dr. James C. Lundstrom 1949 ~ 2009
